A short walk around Ljubljana, Slovenia

Of all of the countries that once were behind the so-called Iron Curtain, Slovenia, appears to be one of the most picturesque of places. It’s a relatively tiny country, sandwiched in between Italy, Croatia, Austria and Hungary … with a southwest toe on the Adriatic Sea.

Slovenia’s capital, Ljubljana, has a stimulating so-called “Old World” charm and a nice mix with modern convenience. I would rate the city and the whole country high on my favorite places to visit.
