Country path in Bavaria
This is an old path through forests, groves of mature oak trees, pastures and lakes. Just 30 miles east of Munich, it’s a popular place to walk and to stop for a snack and coffee at a nearby inn.
Ano Nuevo Bay
The majestic coast at the Año Nuevo State Reserve along highway one in California is one of my favorite places. The reserve stretches for miles beside the Pacific between Half Moon Bay and Santa Cruz.
Elephant Seal
Large elephant seals are numerous along the coast of California, especially from Big Sur north to San Francisco. This big guy was sunning himself on a wide state park beach about 30 miles north of Santa Cruz.
